Technologic

The world is connected with a touch of a button. Instantaneous resolve is common place for things that once upon a time took great organization and effort to accomplish. New advancements are almost a daily occurrence. Thanks to all the brilliant individuals who exercise their noggins and use more than 10%.

An unfortunate byproduct...

More often than not you run into people that have such an entitlement state of mind. It seems to be more and more prevalent in the up and coming generations. They've grown up in a world that has everything at their finger tip with minimal effort required. When it comes to doing something 'old school' they're at a loss or overly inconvenienced by taking the necessary steps to get to the same result.

Work ethic.
Lets use those muscles that technology keeps dormant. If you haven't put any sweat into it what are you entitled to?

Power of Choice

Decisions lead to consequences.
Consequences can be positive or negative.
Choice is the catalyst to a good or bad outcome.
Be prepared to live with the consequence that you've chosen.
Accountability is yours to own and blame has no place.
Live, learn, and grow is the power of choice.

Twenty Things to Remember--another mans' genius

by Wendy Michelle on Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at 7:55pm

1. Faith is the ability to not panic.

2. If you worry, you didn't pray. If you prayed, then don't worry.

3. As a child of God, prayer is kinda like calling home every day.

4. Blessed are the flexible, for they shall not be bent out of shape.

5. When we get tangled in our problems, be still. God wants us to be still so He can untangle the knot.

6. Do the math. Count your blessings. You'll be surprised.

7. God wants spiritual fruit, not religious nuts.

8. Dear God: I have a problem. It's me.

9. Silence is often misinterpreted, but never misquoted.

10. Laugh every day--it's like inner jogging.

11. The most important things in your home are the people.

12. Growing old is inevitable, growing up is optional.

13. There is no key to happiness. The door is always open. Come on in.

14. A grudge is a heavy thing to carry.

15. He who dies with the most toys is still dead.

16. We do not remember days but moments. Life moves too fast so enjoy your precious moments.

17. Nothing is real to you until you experience it; otherwise it's just hearsay.

18. It's all right to have a pitty party every now and again. Just be sure to wipe the table when you are done.

19. Be more concerned with your character than your reputation. Your character is what you really are, while your reputation is merely what others think you are.

20. Don't wait for the storm to pass, dance in the rain.

Quote

If you always do what you've always done, you'll always get what you always got.

Thanks Grandma Cones

My questions:

If this is a true statement then why is it that some strive to morph into what they think others want them to be? Stop acting.

Don't be a liar. This is a double edged sword. You're lying to others and especially to yourself.

Do strive to progress and improve yourself to reach your potential by learning from your experiences and evolving. There is a difference.

Think about it, if successful relationships are based on honesty and trust and you are not being yourself you have no ground to stand on. It's all an illusion.

Moral of the story:

Set yourself up for success by being yourself always, and the relationships in your life will mean something and progress. The ones that aren't meant to progress will fade away.
