How was your day?

Everywhere you look the world tells you to focus on only the negative. You turn on the news the main focus guaranteed will be something with a sense of gloom and negativity. Why so much pessimism? There are so many good things that occur everyday and why don't they receive the same attention?
Think about when you hear something positive, depending on the mood you're in, sometimes the initial response is yuck. It may even be followed by a, why don't you just rub my face it. Why do we do this?
Attitude. Maybe we all need an attitudinal adjustment. Humh? Go ahead and say yuck if you want, but hey, at least I'm going to have more good days. Stop dwelling on the past and gloom of life. Focus on the good and positive. Strive to find the uplifting and see how your day ends up. Stop and smell the roses. Say thank you to kindness and mean it sincerely. Don't always assume the worst of people, and give them the chance to prove that we're not all bad and out to get you. Think the best until proven to be otherwise.
It's all a choice that we make everyday and moment of our lives. Take charge of your emotions and situations in life and choose to not have what others say or do effect you.
Remove the constant sour diet of pessimism, faultfinding, second-guessing, and ill speaking towards one another. Be the first.

Shifting

Life's funny you know. It seems to shift as the earth spins on it's axis and all the content slides into a new resting place, so is life thereafter. People surface as everything shifts adding color and spice to the landscape. As you get to know them more definition occurs that contours the details giving everything vibrance and life. Over time and after everything gains its "true" form the axis pivots and the process seems to start all over again.

Forget the past? Category: Life
i've heard that everyones past come back to haunt them.
i believe this to be a true statement. Most of us trudge on and keep our heads up and i hope that i'm one of them.
when faced with the decision to confront history do you take it if once before when faced, it almost repeated itself?
how can you truly move on by not saying anything? If saying something only means opening the communication again and that being a bad thing in my case it shouldn't be done right?
what if the conclusion is a response? Merely to inform/update the past with the current to show that there isn't any room in the future for the past.

why can't I just do the simple things that direct me to get where I want/need to go?
why is there hesitation?
Is it fear?
If so, what am I afraid of?
Stop and smell the roses kid.
slow time down and breathe.
enjoy the light and all that it unvails.
cast aside the unnecessary and make it simple.
seek to serve others and in turn it will be a true service to thyself.
why be selfish? where does it get you? can you be so and have another stand byside you?
strive to achieve that which only you are capable/able to.
make decisions with not only yourself in mind.
see through others eyes.
have fun.
live life.
listen.
smile.

Are you thinking?

People of the world I ask you this...
Why on God's green earth would you ever assume or think that I would love to style anyone's hair for free?
Now I'm generally a nice person and would love to do some service for those less fortunate than myself, but when it comes to business and money there's NO FREEBEES!!!
Unless I offer this to you out of the goodness of my heart, there should only be predetermined moneys handed from you to me, after service has been completed.
Your mom may cut your hair for free, but I'm not your mom.
You may offer to take me out for a meal but that's only in addition to the payment NOT instead of. I can feed myself more effectively with the money that you give me, then to be taken to a restaurant and waste 10 bucks and gas to get there. To me, that's silly.
Just to be even more clear, when you are asking for a service to be done, you are now a client, and when has a client in any profession, ever decided the payment?
To acquire the skills of any profession cost a lot of money and why would anyone pay for this only to, in the end do it for FREE?

This is how I view it.

For future reference:

Haircuts: $20.00 =$10-my time + $10-my knowledge/experience.

In most salons: $25-60+ = they only get 50% and they rush through it to get rid of you so they can make more money, more butts in the seat the more money in their pocket at the end of the day.

Me- I'm about quality not quantity. I do this because I love it and want to help. If I wanted the money I'd work in a salon and charge you $50+, because that's what I'm worth there via experience and education. If you do the math, you're still getting a deal any way that you look at it.

For those of you that want everything for nothing, it's because of you that there aren't more of people like me. For people with the previously mentioned attitudes, Leave Me Alone. Quit bugging me to do you hair cuz I'm not interested. I want to continue doing hair and loving it but if I allow myself to take clients like you I'd start to hate it again and I don't want that.
I'm great at what I do, so pay me what I ask and Quit Complaining. If you want to pay less go to Cost Cutters and see what you end up with but DO NOT come crying to me to fix it.

That's How It Is.

What color are you?

What color are you?
Some people collect stamps, some cars... Me? Friends. It amazes me everyday how wonderfully different people are. If you were to compare people to colors I like them to be every shade of every color possible. Bright colors are fun and surprising. Dark may be deep and thought prevoking. Pastels are sweet and can either off set others or compliment them very nicely. Primary are the root of all color.. the source if you will...
Over time I've collected so many, which I'm truly grateful for. Some come and go. Some are still around and other yet to come.. I'm excited to see what's next.
